A.G.M. Report

Officials & Committee

Officials and Committee were elected at the A.G.M.  These were as follows -

Pete Rushton was re-elected Chairman and Doug Summers was re-elected Secretary.

Joe Bertram and Bob Kettle retired from the committee, and Dave Raine and Peter Bailey had been proposed and seconded to stand for committee.

The Committee elected was - T.Madeley, S.Morris, D.Colclough (Vice Chairman), A.Pritchard, D.Pritchard, G.Marsden, A.Birchall, D.Raine and P.Bailey.                                             

 Subscriptions

These were not changed at the 2003 A.G.M. as the increases had been set last year- these are

 Annual Subscriptions from January 2004 are £115

Annual Subscriptions from January 2005 are £130

 The only alternative to this was to significantly increase the number of members in order for the Society to keep control of the waters that it has at present.

Bailiffs

The bailiffs are to be as follows– All Committee Members plus A. Loaring, S.Cooper & M.Cooper.

The club has its own Internet Web Site – www.wheelock-as.co.uk.
Any members with ideas or contributions for inclusion on the site should forward them to Doug Summers or any Committee Member. If you have anything you would like to see on your site please send it in.

 Match Dates

 

 All matches Draw 8:00 a.m.   Fish 9:00 a.m. To 1:00 p.m. There will be no access to or from the car park at Crabmill between 07:45 and 13:30 on the days of the matches.

Working Parties

   The working party dates for 2004 are as follows –   They all start at 9am.         

Meet at Crabmill for all working parties. Please bring along any useful tools – shovel, rake, bow saw, sledge hammer, wheelbarrow etc. Suitable attire will be required – boots, waders, gloves etc.

Members arriving more than half an hour after the working party start times or failing to make an effort will not be recorded as attending.

Please remember you must either attend 2 work parties or pay £10 for each work party to be entitled to fish any Society water in the month of MAY.

BRERETON HEATH PARK LAKE.

As from January 2004 we have acquired the fishing rights to a few swims on the right hand bank of this lake, as you look from the car park, these swims are for members only and no DAY TICKET anglers will be allowed to fish from these; however these swims must not be fished from when the CANOEISTS are on the lake.

It has taken a long time to get the use of this bank back for members, if it is abused we will lose the swims again so please abide by the rules for this water and read them all and understand them all thoroughly.

 All the swims on this lake will now be clearly defined and you must only fish from the designated areas.

 

The HEALTH and SAFETY OFFICER for the Council has insisted that there is no wading at night on this lake in our terms of rental for the water, please abide by this rule.

Keys to Brereton Heath car park are available from the Secretary at a cost of £3, please enclose SAE.

Season car parking permits for Brereton are available from Congleton borough Council Council Offices at ‘Westfields’, Middlewich Road, Sandbach.

Please take with you your Society membership card; they will want to see this, they will give you a form to fill in there and then, and then issue you with the car park permit. I believe the cost is £11 at the moment and runs for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Membership Renewals

 “Membership must be renewed before fishing after 1st January each year and members have until the last day of February to re-join. No Fishing until a current membership card is obtained.”

2004 A.G.M.

The 2004 A.G.M. will be held at Sandbach United Services Club on Tuesday November 2^nd   at 8:00 p.m.   PLEASE ATTEND
