Previous news

It is with great saddness that we are reporting the Death of the Club Chairman Dave Colclough, Dave died suddenly on Monday 2nd June 2008. Dave will be sadly missed by the club.

Can all members please not that we have had a number of occurrences of fish trailing lines on the Cotton Lakes. Please note Rig and line checks will be taking place over the coming weeks. Make sure your line is 15lb breaking strain and checked and changed regularly and that suitable size leads are used.

A big thanks to all that attended the work parties over at Baddiley this year. We now have some fantastic comfortable swims built, bark chipped and being fished ! Judging by the fish that are coming out it was all well worth it !

Loads of photos of some fantastic fish have come in over the past couple of weeks including a 28lb 14oz  from Baddiley Mere and a 29lb 8oz from Cotton park.

The tench are coming out of baddiley with plenty of 7lb plus fish and the odd one over 8lb. Some nice Rudd showing as well.

Cotton Moss has turned up another new 30lb plus fish this past month although no photos as yet, please send in the photos.

Many thanks to everyone who has mailed in News and Pictures over the past year. It is really appreciated and helps us to keep an eye on how fish are growing and helps with the future plans of lake stocks.
